The philosophy of the DDS Supported-Competitive Employment Program is simple: training for employment takes place on the job site, as opposed to traditional facility-based training.
An Employment Specialist helps persons with disabilities acquire, learn and maintain community-based employment. Training is individually tailored to meet the needs and interests of the individual and is conducted on a one-to-one basis.
Employers recognize this group of capable persons in the work force and the many benefits received through employing persons with disabilities.
