Members of the Lebanon community, including representatives from the Lebanon Valley Chamber, Community of Lebanon Association, Mayor Robert Anspach and State Representative Mauree Gingrich, joined Developmental & Disability Services (DDS) of Lebanon Valley Thursday morning to celebrate the grand opening and ribbon cutting of DDS-Petal Pushers, a new flower stand located in the Lebanon Farmers Market. DDS-Petal Pushers offers consumers a variety of fresh cut flowers and bouquets, along with candles, cards and personal care items. Patrons of the stand may customize their bouquets with balloon picks, cards and bows, or even hand-pick the flowers to make a personalized bunch.
DDS also took this time to thank those who helped to fund this special project. The flower stand would not be possible without the generous support of the following organizations: The Foundation for Enhancing Communities, The Wachovia Foundation and The DDS Foundation of Lebanon Valley. These organizations provided funds for the stand?s construction and the purchase of supplies and equipment.
The purpose of the flower stand is to improve employment opportunities for individuals living in Lebanon County. Proceeds from the stand benefit DDS services and programs. As a patron of DDS-Petal Pushers you are enriching the lives of others in our community.
