DDS sees itself as a resource to parents and individuals.  As such, DDS provides several opportunities for families to gain information and skills to help them face and overcome challenges:

Elks Home Service Nurse provides home consultations and assists families and individuals with advocacy.

Accessible Communities Today is an advocacy group that addresses accessibility issues in the community.

Boy Scout Troop meets weekly and is designed for children with special needs.
Resource Room is located in the Alley Learning Center and contains an extensive library for parents, caregivers therapists and individuals.

Parent Workshops are offered throughout the year.
