available for children and
adults of all ages.
ACES - Achieving Community Experiences and Skills
DDS partnered with Easter Seals to introduce a social club for children in grades 6 – 12 with high functioning autism. The mission for ACES is defined by its acronym: Achieving Community Experiences and Skills. The program is designed by a professional recreational therapist and is overseen by professionally trained staff. The group meets Friday nights at the DDS-Alley Learning Center from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. and runs in six-week sessions throughout the year.

Seasonal Recreational Activities
From this partnership with Easter Seals, DDS also offers the community a variety of other recreational activities throughout the year, including soccer and bowling.
Boy Scouts
DDS Charters a Boy Scout Troop and a Cub Pack
Boy Scout Troop #404: Opportunity for Boys ages 10 to 18 with any type of disability to work with their peers as a team and achieve goals as they work to earn the highest award in Boy Scouts - the Eagle Scout.
The group meets Monday Evenings at the DDS-Alley Learning Center. For information or to register call Melissa Brandt at 717-389-0051, ext 113.
Cub Scout Pack # 404: This is a new group for boys with mental and physical disabilities ages 5 to 10 and at least in first grade. The group meets the second and fourth Tuesday of the month at the DDS-Alley Learning Center at 6:30 p.m. For information or to register contact Jim McIntyre at emtmcintyre144933@gmail.com.
Enrollement in Scouts is on-going; new scouts are always welcome!
