WANTED: Employment Specialist/Job Coach

DDS has been providing employment services since 1987 and is expanding our Job Coaching Program. Position is open for both full and part time applicants.
The individual hired for this position will assist adults with disabilities in all phases of employment, including:
•Completing applications and assisting clients with interviews
•Job Development
•On site job training
•Teaching soft employment skills, such as social skills
•Completing daily paperwork to document services and progress

Work schedule will vary based on needs of individuals receiving services.
•Valid PA driver's license, use of a vehicle, and vehicle insurance
•Completion of a PA Criminal History verification upon hire.
•Experience working with persons with disabilities preferred.
•One year social service experience desired.

WANTED: Direct Support Professional

This part-time position supplies one-to-one support for individuals living in the local community. Experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities preferred. Summer Camp Coordinator

The mission of Developmental and Disability Services is to empower children with developmental delays and persons with disabilities to lead more productive, satisfying and/or independent lives
Position Overview Provide supervision and implementation of the agency 1 month summer day camp program for children ages 4 through high school. Seeking to hire a high energy and motivated individual to lead summer camp. Excellent opportunity for teachers and college students.
Camp Schedule:
• June 16-19, 9 am - 3 pm (campers age 8 thru high school)
• July 10-13, 9 am - 12 noon (campers age 4 thru 8)
• July 17-20, 9 am-3 pm(campers age 8 thru high school)
• July 24-27, 9 am - 12 noon(campers age 4 thru 8)
Staff must be available to work all of the scheduled hours of camp. Additional paid hours available for planning time.
Education: High school diploma. College degree preferred for camp coordinator position
Experience: Experience working with children, especially children with a disability or learning delay.
Other Requirements:
• Valid PA Driver’s License with acceptable record required.
• Clearances – PA Criminal Background Check, Child Abuse Clearance, and FBI Clearance
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to recognize problems, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
